One of these. Actually this very one.
Now, who knows about it?

ME ME ME!!! It’s the C10 Cochinelle (sp?) 2CV-based prototype, isn’t it?

Damn ya beat me to it! It’s Coccinelle, but close enough lol.

Well, I never really learned any French... Which is kind of annoying when you’re interested in French cars, considering how much information isn’t available in English. I should probably get my act together and learn the language before I get too old!

If Google Translate is to be believed, “Coccinelle” translates to “ladybug”. Makes sense, given the shape.
I’d totally drive one!

Coccinelle, and you drive it sitting atop a 2CV engine.

Eh, never too old to try to learn something new! I understand what ya mean though. As much as I love cars, I honestly don’t know as much as I would like to as far as French cars go. Plus where I am from most people wouldn’t have much of a clue what I was on about anyway.

As would I! Although judging from pictures of it, I somewhat doubt that the visibility from the drivers seat is optimal...

No, I’m not even that old (yet). I’ve just been told that it’s way easier to learn a new language when you’re younger.
To be honest I don’t think most people in Europe know much about old French cars either, or cars in general for that matter. Depending on their age the average person might just know what a 2CV looks like, and some may remember the big Citroëns looking kind of weird and sitting on their belly when parked, but that’s probably about it.
Even car enthusiasts don’t necessarily know much about cars outside their sphere of interest.

Yeah that is true.
That is understandable. Most people where I live here in the states have never even heard of Citroen, much less a 2CV. I think that is one reason why I try to learn more and more about cars from outside the US. To some it may not matter, but to me it is a part of my being. I’ve always been a car person. I have certain ones I like more, sure, but I always love to learn about vehicles I have never heard of. There’s an awesome museum in Tennessee that has the largest collection of Czech in the US, for example. I learned about more cars I had never seen or heard of in that one place than I have anywhere else. It was quite a treat.
